
In an effort to lessen the effects of the removal of fuel subsidies, the Edo State Government has cut the number of school days to three per week.
Following a meeting between the state's head of service Anthony Okungbowa and other government representatives, Ozavize Salami, the chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), made this statement in Benin City on Friday.
The purpose of the meeting on Friday was to discuss the government's directive that, after the removal of the subsidy, public and civil workers should work three times per week.
According to her, the administration has already announced measures to align with the educational curriculum.
