Guinness World Record awards Hilda Baci the record for the longest cooking Marathon.
After a thorough review, Guinness World Record has confirmed that Hilda Effiong Bassey (Hilda Baci) have broken the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes after overtaking the last record set by Lata Tondon (India) in 2019.
Hilda Baci cooked over 100 pots during her four days look cooking.
She attempted to set a record of 100 hours but mistakenly took an extra minute during one of her breaks, this
resulted in a deduction of 7 hours by the Guinness World Record Team.
Participants are only allowed to take five minutes rest break for every continuous activity of one hour and it can be accumulated if not taken.
Hilda's motivation is to inspire African women and to put Nigerian cuisine on the map.
Hilda dished out her delicacies to the general public and the leftover was donated to Festus Fajemilo Foundation.
